As some of you know, I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been in Monaco doing what everyone in Monaco does: spending money. I’ll be back to normal on Monday, but for now here’s a treat: a few of the most interesting cars from Monaco. There are many more on my Twitter, but these are the highlights.
That Bonneville? Epic!
What did you drive Doug?
Doug rented all those cars from the pics!!
A diesel-powered Alfa Romeo Giuletta. Review coming next week. It was… slow.
Oh man. I think those things are heinously ugly. Any Chrysler products on the interior?
None that I could see (maybe window switches and fabrics), but the inside felt, and sounded, very Chrysler.
Oddly- of them all, the yellow Volvo 855 T5R caught my attention most.
You should get your hands on one, Doug. Maybe just review one.
I would love one. An 855 T5R is basically a unicorn here, but I’d love a sedan. It remains the only car in my life where I would purchase it without question if it turned up locally in running shape and at a decent price. Everything else I would do my usual “should i or shouldn’t I” but a yellow T5R would be purchased instantly.
Yellow isn’t as much of a unicorn as the dark green color they produced. IIRC from my Volvo employment days- they only made it for one MY and only a few hundred. There was also a 5 speed dark green T5R wagon that sold <100 examples here in the states. Now THAT's a unicorn.
Blacked out Bugatti from Quebec??
Crazy, right?!
Car lover’s heaven? I should say so. Yes, that Bonneville…weird. I can’t quite wrap my mind around what it might be like to see a Veyron just parked on the street or in a garage. Highlights indeed.
Did you see where the plates on the Bonneville were from, by any chance?
